Terms of Use

The ground rules for using Petal Browser.

Last updated October 17, 2026

Acceptance

By installing or using Petal Browser (“Petal”, “the app”) you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

License

Petal is free and open-source software released under the GNU General Public License v3.0. You may use, study, modify and redistribute it under that license. Third-party components keep their own licenses, listed on the licenses page. The Petal name and logo identify the official app; please do not use them in a way that suggests your modified build is the official release.

Using Petal

You are responsible for how you use the browser. Do not use Petal to break the law, attack or disrupt services, or infringe the rights of others. Features such as the ad blocker, download manager and media tools are provided for lawful personal use; make sure you have the right to download, save or share the content you handle.

Websites and third-party content

Petal displays content from websites we do not control. We are not responsible for that content, for its accuracy or safety, or for the practices of third-party sites and services you reach through the app, including the optional services listed in the Privacy Policy. Content blocking and security tools reduce risk but cannot guarantee protection.

No warranty

Petal is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every website or device.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Petal. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Updates and changes

We may change the app or these terms over time. The date above shows the latest revision, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may release updates that add, change or remove features.
