What to include in a bug report

Petal version (Settings, then About & Developer).
Android version and device model.
Exact steps to reproduce, what you expected, and what happened.
The website address, if the problem is site-specific, and whether it happens with extensions or the content blocker turned off.
Screenshots or a screen recording. Please remove anything personal first.

Quick fixes to try first

Update to the latest release.
If one site misbehaves, turn off the content blocker or tracking protection for that site.
Clear that site’s cookies and cache from the Privacy settings.
Disable recently added extensions to see if one is the cause.

Security issues

Please do not post exploit details publicly. Use the “Report a vulnerability” option on the repository’s Security tab if it is available, or open an issue that describes the impact without technical details and we will follow up.

Privacy questions

Read the Privacy Policy first. If you still have a question or a data request, open an issue on GitHub and mention “privacy” in the title.
